THE LAND OF MIDIAN, JABAL AL-LAWZ, JETHRO, MOSES AND THE ANCIENT ROUTES

Due to the construction of The Neom Project in Saudi Arabia, it is uncertain the future of these historic sites. Time is of essence to
visit the region and see the sites of The Bible.

DAY 1: ARRIVE IN TABUK

Arrive in Tabuk.
4 WD jeeps pickup to camp site of Mt. Sinai and prepare for overnight at hotel.
Debriefing, dinner and overnight.
(Depending on Arrival Time , take a 4-wheel adventure across the land of the Amalekites to the Red Sea. Arrive at the sea, and off-road to the site of the Egypt /Nuweiba crossing of the Israelites).

DAY 2: SPLIT ROCK OF HOREB

Exodus 17
Morning drive to the Split Rock of Horeb on major archeological roadmaps for the time period of Moses and his family. Will be able to climb into Jethro's Tombs.
See the Well of Moses and Zipporah and see the backside of Jabal al-Lawz.
Visit a curious rock format ion that begins at the Red Sea and will take us tomorrow into Elim. Walk into the site of Wadi al Tayyib.
End at Campsite for dinner and overnight.
Climb the rock and spend time at it s base to see the inscriptions and hand-hewn rock enclosures.
Visit the ancient area of Jethro and Midian. Al Bad' - on major archeological roadmaps for the time period of Moses and his family.

DAY 3: THE REAL MT. SINAI

Exodus 19
Climbers depart campsite around 6:00am.
Hike to The Plateau of 70 Elders, Elijah's Cave 7 to 8 hours round-trip and the blackened top which is 8+ hours round-trip.
Return for lunch / dinner at Jabal al-Lawz.
Non-hikers depart late morning for Snorkeling or Camel Racing.
Campsite for 2nd overnight.

DAY 4: LAND OF MIDIAN

Off-roading today to Elim and the place of the miracles of the quail and the 12 wells and 70 palm trees. Exodus 15
Head south along the Red Sea to Marah (bitter water).

Continue on to the area of NEOM, but, the goal is to have a viewpoint of Tiran Island, a secondary candidate for the crossing of the Israelites into the Land of Midian.
Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

DAY 5: THE EMCAMPMENT PLAIN

Explore the potential graveyard of those killed following the Golden Calf incident, the intriguing cow petroglyphs (marking the probable Golden Calf altar site). Exodus 32
See the dried stream bed etching the path where water once flowed from the mountain, the substantial double-walled stone “wells” reaching 18 feet, and the Moses’ altar site with its beautiful white marble pillars.  Exodus 20 & 24
Enjoy lunch in the plain where the Israelites camped in front of Mount Sinai. 
Return to hotel for dinner and overnight.
